Berlin’s LiveEO Raises €28M, Targets Civil and Defense Geospatial Growth
LiveEO, a Berlin-based pioneer in AI- and satellite-driven infrastructure monitoring, has secured over €28 million in its first funding round. The investment will drive expansion in civil infrastructure monitoring while accelerating its entry into defense and security applications, a sector experiencing surging demand across Europe.
The round welcomes new investors Helantic, b2ventures, and the European Innovation Council (EIC), alongside continued support from existing backers such as Nordic Ninja, DTCF, and Matterwave Ventures. Daniel Seidel, LiveEO’s Co-Founder, noted, “Demand for geospatial intelligence is exploding, across infrastructure, climate risk, and defense. We are leading that wave with a proven commercial business, our own satellite constellation Twinspector, and agentic AI capabilities.”
Since its 2018 launch, LiveEO has become a global partner for operators of power lines, railways, and pipelines, helping reduce risks like outages and wildfires. The shift from manual inspections to continuous, AI-enabled monitoring is driving growth, as climate change and aging infrastructure increase the need for smarter solutions.
Germany’s €35 billion commitment to space infrastructure underscores the strategic importance of sovereign Earth observation data. LiveEO, with its proprietary satellite constellation and deep expertise, is poised to shape this new era. Sven Przywarra, Co-Founder, emphasized, “The synergies between civil infrastructure monitoring and defense applications are far greater than most realize. This funding allows us to scale both simultaneously.”
The capital will focus on three pillars: expanding civil infrastructure services, entering defense markets with its proven AI and satellite stack, and advancing Twinspector, a European-built constellation delivering high-resolution 3D imagery. Przywarra added, “The commercial opportunity ahead is larger than ever.”
