Berlin's Taktile partners with Vouched for AI-powered identity checks
Berlin-based AI startup Taktile has struck a partnership with identity verification startup Vouched, embedding Vouched’s AI-powered ID checks directly into Taktile’s Agentic Decision Platform. The move removes a major engineering bottleneck for banks and fintechs: integrating robust identity providers into onboarding and compliance flows.
Instead of weeks of custom integration, risk and compliance teams can now access Vouched’s visual ID verification, document authentication and behavioral signals from inside Taktile’s low-code environment. That lets teams run experiments, tune rules, and push verification strategies live without constant developer support.
“Intelligent identity verification is foundational to building secure, scalable onboarding experiences. We're excited to give our customers instant access to Vouched products, enabling teams to deploy sophisticated verification strategies without the typical integration complexity,” Maik Taro Wehmeyer, Co‑founder and CEO of Taktile, told in their press release.
Taktile’s Agentic Decision Platform combines AI agents, a decision engine and an Agentic Case Manager for human-in-the-loop reviews. With Vouched embedded, routine checks (for example, matching a selfie to a document or validating driver’s licences) run automatically. Edge cases and mismatches are escalated to the Case Manager where reviewers get a consolidated view of signals and recommended actions.
Peter Horadan, CEO of Vouched, framed the alliance as an operational improvement for financial institutions. “Our partnership with Taktile delivers what the market has been asking for: the ability to integrate best‑in‑class identity verification directly into decision workflows. Together, we’re helping financial institutions approve more legitimate customers while maintaining the highest standards of fraud prevention and compliance,” Horadan added.
Taktile customers gain access to three packaged offerings from Vouched inside the platform:
That map of capabilities matters for onboarding, KYC, AML screening and fraud prevention. For example, SMB underwriting or high‑risk onboarding flows can route to Identity Premier, while low-risk retail customers might only need Identity Advanced to keep friction low.
The partnership is already live and available through Taktile’s Agentic Decision Platform. For teams wrestling with KYC complexity but short on engineering bandwidth, this is a quick path to upgrade verification without rebuilding onboarding pipelines.
