Berlin Startup Cerpro Leads AI Push into Automated Inspection

AI is transforming inspection workflows in manufacturing, and Berlin-based startup Cerpro is at the centre of this shift. As Berlin tech continues to expand its role in industrial innovation, Cerpro is developing tools that replace manual quality assurance processes with automated systems.

Inspection planning has traditionally relied on spreadsheets, PDFs and manual interpretation of technical drawings. Cerpro’s platform changes this by analysing drawings with AI and automatically generating structured inspection plans. This reduces repetitive work and brings consistency to processes that were previously fragmented.

The efficiency gains are substantial. According to HANNOVER MESSE, Cerpro’s approach can achieve “time savings of over 70 to 80 percent” in inspection planning. These improvements are particularly valuable for manufacturers facing increasing complexity in supply chains and compliance requirements.

Cerpro also addresses one of the biggest challenges in quality control: data fragmentation. By converting unstructured technical documents into standardised digital formats, the platform ensures that inspection data can be reused across departments and partners. This creates clearer traceability and helps companies respond faster to quality issues.

Data protection is another key focus. Cerpro uses German-based cloud infrastructure and encrypted storage, aligning with strict European data regulations. This reflects a broader trend within Berlin tech, where AI solutions are built with compliance and security integrated from the outset rather than added later.

The company’s development highlights how Berlin is becoming a hub for applied industrial AI. Instead of focusing solely on theoretical innovation, startups like Cerpro are solving practical manufacturing problems, bridging the gap between software and production environments.
