Insurtech company INZMO has partnered with fraud-detection technology provider a68 to strengthen automated insurance fraud detection within its claims process. The collaboration integrates AI-powered document analysis into INZMO’s platform to identify suspicious claims earlier and improve operational efficiency.

The partnership connects a68’s AI-driven “agentic SIU” platform with INZMO’s claims system. The technology automatically scans submitted claim documents, analyzing their structure, metadata, and visual elements to detect anomalies that could indicate fraudulent activity.

Insurance fraud is becoming increasingly sophisticated, partly due to generative AI tools. These tools can quickly create realistic-looking invoices, receipts, and supporting documents, making traditional manual verification methods more difficult and time-consuming.

By automating document checks, the integration aims to reduce pressure on claims teams. Suspicious submissions are flagged automatically, allowing investigators to focus on cases that require deeper analysis instead of manually reviewing every document.

“Fraudulent claims not only cause significant financial loss but also undermine customer trust,” said Iris Tomingas, Head of ICT at INZMO. She added that the partnership supports the company’s commitment to “fair, transparent, and secure insurance processes.”

The a68 platform relies on deep learning models and forensic algorithms designed to detect manipulation in digital documents. Once integrated, the system evaluates uploaded files in real time and alerts claims handlers if irregularities are detected.

This capability is particularly valuable for digital insurers that process claims at scale. Automated screening helps maintain fast claims handling while strengthening fraud protection across high-volume product lines.

Hans Baare-Schmidt, CEO of a68, emphasized the need for modern tools to address evolving fraud risks. Manual checks alone, he noted, struggle to keep up with increasingly sophisticated fraud patterns.

The collaboration reflects a broader shift across the insurance sector toward AI-driven automation. As insurers digitize customer journeys—from policy purchase to claims—technology is becoming essential for detecting fraud efficiently.

INZMO focuses on embedded insurance solutions that integrate coverage directly into digital platforms, including renters insurance, mobility coverage, and device protection. Automated fraud detection supports this model by ensuring claims processes remain both fast and secure.

Meanwhile, a68 specializes in forensic document analysis and fraud detection technology tailored for insurers. Its platform is designed to help companies verify documents at scale while maintaining high accuracy in fraud identification.

As digital insurance continues to expand, partnerships like this highlight how AI and automation are reshaping fraud prevention strategies across the industry.
