NexDash Raises €2.5M to Electrify Europe’s Freight with EIT Urban Mobility
NexDash, a Berlin-based logistics operator, has raised €2.5 million in pre-Series A funding from EIT Urban Mobility, an EU initiative. This follows a €5 million Seed round in November 2025, just three months after its launch, to build Europe’s first “Neo-Carrier” for electric trucks.
The investment, led by Berit Inga Stranz, NexDash’s VP of Sales and Strategic Partnerships, will help the company electrify Europe’s road freight. Michael Cassau, Founder and CEO, said, “We welcome EIT Urban Mobility on board. Their investment fuels what we do best: electrifying freight – fleet by fleet, route by route, across Europe.”
Founded by Cassau, the entrepreneur behind Grover, NexDash acquires mid-sized trucking companies, transitions their fleets to electric vehicles, and operates them via its AI platform, NexOS. The company recently acquired March Transporte, a 26-truck operator in Rheinbach, marking its first step in consolidating Germany’s fragmented trucking sector.
The partnership with EIT Urban Mobility aims to scale sustainable logistics, combining NexDash’s operational model with the initiative’s pan-European ecosystem. Johannes Kirschner, Investment Manager at EIT Urban Mobility, stated, “NexDash represents a new generation of freight operators in Europe, combining technology and operations to accelerate electrification at scale.”
