Youzu launches world’s first all‑in‑one Visual AI platform for e‑commerce
Berlin-based startup Youzu today commercially launched what it calls the world’s first all‑in‑one Visual AI Platform for e‑commerce, positioning a single API as the replacement for a patchwork of visual discovery tools.
Online retailers have long struggled to match how consumers discover products: through images rather than keywords. Youzu points to industry friction — 70% of online shoppers abandon carts because they cannot find what they want and average site conversion hovers around 1.4% — and argues that existing vendors only solve fragments of the problem.
"Youzu democratizes enterprise‑grade computer vision for online retailers of all sizes — with a unified platform covering search, visualization, and interactive engagement," Youzu said in a press release provided to TechInBerlin.
The company bundles three pillars into one suite: Discover, Visualize and Engage.
Youzu says the combined stack produces measurable lifts: a documented 30% higher conversion from filtered search, 2x SEO traffic and a +20% average order value from intelligent cross‑selling.
"The visual discovery gap has cost online retail billions of dollars in lost sales for two decades. We built the infrastructure layer that closes it — and we proved it works before asking the market to believe us," Nail Valiyev, Founder & CEO of Youzu, said in a company statement to TechInBerlin.
The startup cites Vivre, a European furniture marketplace, as an early customer: Youzu says Vivre achieved a 30% lift in conversion, a 20% increase in average order value and a 30% increase in time on platform, recovering full ROI within the first month of deployment.
The founding team previously built Sporttotal’s AI broadcasting camera — deployed to more than 1,000 sports clubs across Europe — and Youzu frames that experience as production‑grade ML discipline applied to retail imagery and catalogs.
Youzu.ai is available now via API and SDK. Pricing starts at $349/month for single‑feature access, with a Professional tier at $1,299/month covering the full six‑tool suite for up to 300,000 SKUs. Enterprise plans, custom model training and on‑premises deployment are offered on request. All plans include a 14‑day free trial.
